My new music video about the #VoxAdpocalypse and the insane torrent of online censorship of dissident voices including Milo, Alex Jones, Paul Joseph Watson....man the list is way too long at this point.

The intro track from my debut record Freaky Be Funky!
Based on a 4chan postering campaign that stirred up controversy with what has to be the most innoffensive thing I've ever heard. How is this even controversial?
Update July 15, 2019: This song just got voxxed for violating Youtube's "hate speech" policies. I guess 4chan was right after all...
TRIGGER WARNING: YOUTUBE HAS IDENTIFIED THIS CONTENT AS NOT SUITABLE FOR MOST ADVERTISERS.

Critical thinking, Objectivity and You!
Hi guys! It's your friendly neighborhood rebel lunatic here with a handy dandy guide to modern media stupidity! LET'S MAKE FUN OF EVERYONE!!!
Every source has different degrees of journalistic integrity mixed in with shoddy, lazy or agenda driven bullshit. In Part 1 I'll roughly identify some different "teams" and their dumbass agenda.
Part 2 shows a couple handy tricks to *TRY* to get a little closer to the objective truth. I'll include a few sources that I dig as well.
Too much anger, division and negativity going on. Today I'm cracking jokes and making fun of the silly media. Better things are coming if we stick together! Peace!
America has the best elections, folks!
Tremendous candidates, believe me. The media isn't a trainwreck (they are) and the primary wasn't rigged against Sanders (it was).
That's just locker room talk, folks. Big league.
Thank god this embarassing asshole of a dumpster fire trainwreck of an election is nearly fucking over.
I've been working on a new Current Swell record with the fantastic Jacquire King and it has been a fantastic experience.
Jacquire and his team of engineers are absolutely world-class and I've had to amp up my game to keep up with their creativity and ruthless efficiency. The iconic Blackbird studio in Nashville is the craziest studio I've had the pleasure of working in.
Heading to Vancouver soon to continue recording. Stoked!
(by Ghosty, for Bria with Love)
I'm sitting here spinning the lever of a wind-up music box that my dear friend Bria Magnin-Forster gave to me. The delicate lullabye tones twinkle over the whir of the winding gears. It is haunting and beautiful.
Bria was like that. Beautiful, but at the same time haunted. She'd sit in my living room playing the piano, inventing these breathtaking melodies that would tear at your soul.
Haunting and beautiful.
The first night I met Bria she was busking downtown. We had this immediate, profound creative connection. She played me a song she wrote called 'Roxy', a brilliantly crafted story about a sex worker's internal struggle.
Hey everyone, I'm beyond stoked to announce that I have a new solo project that will make it's live debut on Canada Day at Tall Tree Music Festival 2016!!!
My crew and I have been working on a brand new record tentatively titled "Freaky Be Funky". I'm extremely proud of the way this record is shaping up, and I can't wait to share it....Hopefully we'll have some of the new tracks up soon!
Current Swell is co-headlining the festival so I'm amped for that too!
See you on Canada Day!
I've got a new solo project with a record in the works and I'll be debuting the new act live on Canada 2016 at Tall Tree Music Festival!!!
The $ell-Out $ong is a track from an old solo record of mine called Look on the Bright Side.
In the A.D.D. riddled depths of an MS Paint bender I randomly decided that now was the time to make an animated music video for the song.
It's an ode to all the creative, talented artists who do it for the love of music, and refuse to dumb it down or pop it up to try to make a quick buck. Hope you dig it!
I'm Ghosty, and I don't really want to write a blog right now. Come back later and *maybe* I'll actually have something here.
In the meantime, click around this website and check out music and videos from the bands that I play in.
...you still here?
Alright, if you really want to know I'll tell you ONE thing: I have not worn a pair of matching socks in over ten years.
Satisfied? Okay good. Now go click on some stuff or something. Maybe buy an album while you're at it.
I promise I will put something here when I get a chance.
Our Rage Against The Machine Tribute is playing January 15th at Lucky Bar in Victoria! Tickets are available online now at Ticketzone.com/Rage
The videos from the last Killing in the Name show are now up on Youtube as well! Check out the entire playist here!
...and a riot
be the rhyme
of the unheard.
As it turns out we've procured the footage from the 'End of the World' show in Victoria.
Initially the plan was to edit one or two song together, but the entire set was actually pretty dope, and the project has kind of evolved. It's taking some time to put all the pieces together, but we hope to release the entire concert soon.
We just released a new 5 song E.P. titled 'Home is where you make it'!
The E.P. features a new recording of the track 'Young and Able', as well as a couple of live recordings and a couple of songs recorded during the Ulysess sessions that weren't included on that record.
You can listen to the tracks and purchase them at the official Swell audio store.
Hope you dig it.
Man, I freaked the fuck out when I heard this!
Current Swell will play Victoria's own Rock the Shores festival this month and Jane's Addiction is headlining.
Jane's Addiction has been my all-time favorite band (...i think) ever since I was a little punk (...i still am) so sharing a stage with them is an enourmous milestone for me as a musician.
I can only assume that the show will end with Perry and I having a massive bro-down, most likely under the influence of designer hallucinogens. We connect on such a deep, spiritual level that he asks me to join the band as there permanent bass player. Obviously I say yes, because I'm not in nearly enough bands as it is.
Hey, a fella can dream, right?
Strange Birds of a Feather, the alternative punk-grunge-whatever band I play with, will be rockin a show at Upstairs Caberet this Sunday with our bestest friends Spaceboots!
Come one, come all. It's sure to be a night of inebriation and debauchery!
See you there!
A talented gentleman by the name of Adam Lee at VictoriaMusicScene.com took the initiative to make videos of our show at Sugar!
They look and sound pretty sweet considering it's a single camera. The first video for Guerilla Radio is up now, hopefully we'll have the rest of the playlist up soon!
The Rage tribute project is one of the most ruthless ass-kicking bands I've ever played with. The shows are electrifying and the crowds are always amazing.
Featuring the wicked chops of Funk-V alumni Josh Boudreau and Jud Mackay, as well as Joe Faraguna on bass!
I am sincerly honoured to play these iconic rebel anthems with such a fantastic crew of badass motherfuckers.
Filmed by Adam Lee at VictoriaMusicScene.com
We're stoked to be on tour with the fantastic Cat Empire on a tour that will take us to major destinations all across Canada and the U.S.
For more information and tickets please visit us at CurrentSwell.com/shows.
See you on the road!
Hi there! I'm Ghosty and this is my website.
Hypothetically this is the spot where you can come and check out all of the various projects that I'm involved in, including but not limited to: Current Swell, Funk Vigilante, Strange Birds and my solo project which I'm just in the process of firing up.
Website is currently under construction so you might find a few broken links, 404's and other fun stuff. Consider them to be like easter eggs or something.
(Edit: Site is actually in decent shape now)
Ghosty.tv is a one-stop destination if you want the latest news, tourdates, music and videos from any of the bands I play in. It's also great for stalking the ever-loving shit out of me.
Hope you dig it!
I think this is probably my favorite Current Swell video. It's vaguely a parody of the reality t.v. series "Storage Wars", but I dig it just because we thought up so much weird, fucked up nonsense to put in it.
We get to throw American dollar bills all over the place, and my character is in some wacky B.D.S.M. scene in a garage with bunnies and shit.
Strange Birds of a Feather is:
Nigel Strange: bass & vocals
Eric Hogg: guitar/keys/harmonies
Jud MacKay: drums

From the first lyrics to the finished video, Internet Fight Song was produced in under a week as a response to the impending SOPA/ACTA bills being pushed through American congress to censor the Internet.
Although the bill was defeated, I like to think this track still stands as a reminder that the public must remain eternally vigilant if we hope to protect the Internet from governments and corporations who seek to stifle free speech.
Holy Land is another montage style video. Cut and pasted from photographs and clips that have inspired us along the way.
The track is from the Funk Vigilante album 'Civil Disobedience'.

Funk Vigilante tours Western Canada in support of their debut record "Civil Disobedience".
Apologies to the wicked people who came out to the Richmond, BC show. That was the last and one of the best shows on the tour, but the footage from that night was unfortunately lost.
Hardcore funk-metal from Funk Vigilante. This was the title track to our 2009 debut record Civil Disobedience.
Funk V represents some of the freakiest punk-rock badasses I've ever played with, and some of the finest friends I've ever known.
I'm fired up to say that some unrecorded Funk V tracks will be reworked for my solo record "Freaky Be Funky", and that some of my funky brothers will be infusing it with their incredible creative talents.
Just doing our part to make sure that history gets it right.
From the album Civil Disobedience by Funk Vigilante.
Funk Vigilante perform Smoke and Mirrors live at their first ever show at Evolution Niteclub in Victoria, BC.
